Home Improvement

After delivering the last project for this semester, I have had a lot of spare time, and why not do some home improvement then? I bought a wall table at IKEA over a year ago, but never managed to get I up on the wall :-P. So today I tried my skills as “Tim Taylor”, and after several hours of drilling, tapping and pounding, I managed to get the table up on the wall, I even managed to keep the number of splits in the planks to only one (at one point I actually thought that I would be able to be flawless ;-) ). I also got a new chair, quiet a bargain and some posters so my room doesn’t look so dull. And now I’m ready for the final three exams, and one makeup examination, but when that’s all done, then it’s a hallway party (for now there is only 4 attendants, including myself), a trip to the United Kingdom (London) and then finally my traineeship at TDC starts the 15^th of July.

Relaxing in the sun

This is going to be one of the hottest summers ever.. So i decided not to waste any time on studying for the exams, and in stead take a trip back home to see my family and just relax.. I saw my younger brothers new house, really beautiful and spans over a large area, but a little moist downstairs. Later i visited my youngest brother, who is currently a bit ill, but i was able to drag him down to the river for a swim and to cool down ;-) So for the next couple of hours we are just going to relax in the sun with a cold coke and some music.. Ahh

Days of Documentation

After weeks of coding and fixing missing functionality in existing code, we finally decided to stop and start document the garbage we'd produced. Our heads are spinning and the mood is at an absolute low, but luckly we have the final deadline this friday, its going to be a glories day no mather what.

Now it is time for another party.. After weeks of coding and all sorts of homework, i finally ditched my fellow students two party and drink with my buddies B-)

Semester project RoboArm

Our next semester project is an pretty advanced robot arm. The assignment is to make it programmable and make it able to identify elements and sort these correctly. Its going to be one of the easier projects i think, partly because we are going to prioritize documentation over coding this time and at last we are going to use a true object oriented programming language: C#. I would have chosen java above C#, but IHA is almost pure Microsoft which i think is kind of sad, but understanding Microsoft software and being able to create new software is of course a must. Anyways, its going to be a good semester and thats that :-)

Xbox 360 flashed

Some weeks ago i wanted to try and flash my sony-ericsson k800, to debrand and customize it. I failed because of CID51, and had to bye my way out of it. Yesterday i started on a new project, patching my xbox 360 dvd drive firmware, and after 3-4 hours of intense research and work (spending at least one hour searching for my torx kit) i finally got it working, original games still works, know i just need to create a backup and make the final test, but everything seems to work, with only a few flesh wounds to my poor fingers ;-) Yeah

The entrance to my brother and his girl friend's apartment was heavily flooded, do to some serious raining over the weekend. That's me btw going ashore ;-) and yes it is fucking cold!

Project almost done!

Finally, we got our Cruise Control up and running, there is still some minor faults, but no biggies ;-) Now we can concentrate on the documentation, and with the deadline just around the corner (5. Jan 07) we should have plenty to do.
